Questions answered

What if I don't have exact measurements yet? +
You'll need at least the key room dimensions before we can begin — overall room length, width, ceiling height, and the positions of doors, windows, and any fixed obstructions (boiler, radiator, etc.). If you have architect's drawings, even better — just upload those directly. We cannot begin the design without dimensional information.
Which suppliers can I use with my design? +
Any supplier you like. DIY Kitchens, Howdens, IKEA, Wren, B&Q — your shopping list will be unit-type and size specific, so you can match it to whatever range you choose. We'll advise on standard unit sizes that work across most ranges.
What exactly counts as an amendment? +
An amendment is a single change to the design — for example, moving a unit to a different position, swapping a standard door for a drawer pack, or changing the hob location. Each round includes up to 10 amendments, or you can request one complete redesign instead. Amendments are clearly documented so there's no ambiguity.
What happens if my measurements are wrong? +
The design is created entirely from the dimensions you provide, so accuracy is important. We strongly recommend double-checking all measurements before submitting. Our T&Cs make clear that Designitt cannot be held responsible for designs that don't fit due to inaccurate dimensions supplied by the customer.
Does the design include plumbing or electrical layouts? +
We include recommended positions for your sink, dishwasher, hob, and appliances within the design — which naturally informs where plumbing and electrics need to go. We don't produce technical plumbing or electrical drawings; those would be produced by your tradespeople on site.
How is the completed design delivered? +
You'll receive a PDF design pack by email containing your floor plan, wall elevations, 3D visuals, and your full itemised shopping list. The PDF is formatted so you can forward it directly to your chosen kitchen supplier.
Is VAT included in the £349 price? +
Yes — £349 is the total price, inclusive of VAT. There are no hidden fees or extras. Your amendments are included within that fee.
Who carries out the designs? +
Designitt is a trading name of Planitt Ltd, a specialist kitchen design and project management company based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. All designs are produced by an experienced professional kitchen designer using industry-standard software.
